Margarida at my flower's list

Well, I’m not a super feminist girl but I kind of like to support the sisters against the guys, to see that we can do whatever they do, because they are not superior and that we are equal with some differences. Ok, that’s not really the subject that I want to talk about now but I will get to the point soon…
I see my mom like a warrior, she comes from a family with 7 sisters and 3 brothers where the girls had to study, work and help with the house work and the boys didn’t wash a cup. They were pretty poor and my grandma was a military mother style.
She started working as an employee on a street popular market (really common in Brazil). Few years later she had her own store. Our house, cars and every penny that was used to raise me came from that store. She grew on business on her own. When I was 5 years old she started to honor a Rotisserie in a expensive neighborhood in our city. I grew up over there, my mom honored it for 15s year until she decided to sell it for a good price. After I moved to US and she sold the Rotisserie I though she would enjoy the retirement and a calm home life, but for my surprise she decided to start a Frutarie (fruits and vegetables store). Of course she is my first life example…
Last year I added my first host mom to my females' great examples list. I thought someone like her was an example to follow in many ways. I saw a true Christian, as a doctor, as a friend and as a Mother. About Bonita (the way that I secretly called her) in her motherhood style I really admire the education, the way she applies discipline to her girls and the way she keeps her family on the “good Christian path“. I know we had our problems but I'm still thinking about her in this way and she is still on my list.
Now getting to the point, what I was thinking all over the last two weeks….
Margarida (that’s also not her real name), she is my second host mom, I need to say that she amazed me!!! Why? Well, she is unbelievable.
Margarida is a scientist that coordinate a lab that studies disease or something like that, she also is a professor at the state university. Her strong marriage relationship makes me want to have them for godparents wedding!

She is a mother of five grown up kids that still give her a lot of work, two active babies in the age of three years old that were adopted from South America some years ago, three adopted kids from Africa in ages between 5 and 9 years old that has joined the family last summer. Those kids came to our home with no English at all.

Margarida finds time for her garden every weekend...Wait! My host Mom made her wedding dress! She still finds time to do sewing!

Also, the way that she raises those kids, the way that she loves all of them, all equally, with patience, kindness, just does not exist.
Another day I was walking by the kitchen in my way to the dinner table when I saw Margarida and Margarido (host dad) near by the fridge, They were hugging each other. On her way to the table she stopped me to say: You Know Jessie, I really hope you find a husband as good and lovely as my husband is! After all these years he is still my boyfriend. = )
I know... She is so cutie, so sweet, but she is also very strong and like thinks right, mulher porreta!!! hehe
From now on Margarida is part of my list, and not because she is my host mom, but I really admire and love her!!!
Margarida querida, when I grow up I want to be just like you.
